Jackson Irvine admits he doesn't mind St Pauli fans labelling him 'Airvine' as he scored another header at the weekend.
The former Celtic star, who came back in to the limelight at the World Cup in Qatar, played alongside Scottish Premiership stars such as Hoops man Aaron Mooy and Hearts defender Kye Rowles as the Socceroos reached the knockout stages. And the 29-year-old who has been key to St Pauli's Bundesliga 2 campaign scored his sixth goal for the club.
Incredibly, the midfielder has ONLY scored from headers since his time in the region of Hamburg as they saw off the challenge of Hansa Rostock on Sunday. The last time Irvine scored with his feet was for Hibs against Motherwell in 2021 in the Scottish Cup quarter-final which the Hibees won on penalties.

On his new nickname, he added: "I heard that. Some people say everything goes to my head, too."
Manager Fabian Hurzeler also hailed the ex-Parkhead man, saying: "He's extremely important to me. Not only as a footballer, but also as a person."
Meanwhile Irvine took to social media to share an image of his goals with the caption "Happy Sunday" which included a pirate emoji associated with St Pauli and a clover emoji - perhaps making reference to his former club's triumph over rivals Rangers.
