Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila has completed his return to Europe with Belgian side Standard Liege
The Norwegian is back in the Europe for the first time since 2020 after time at New York City followed on from a stint in his homeland with Valerenga.
While over in the US, Deila claimed MLS Cup glory in 2021 and it's earned him a crack at Standard Liege after their disappointing 2021/22 campaign saw them finish 14th from 18 team in the Belgian First Division.
The 46-year-old is held in high regard at Parkhead and won two Premiership titles and a League Cup while in Glasgow.
Pierre Locht, Standard Liege CEO, said: "We are happy and proud to welcome Ronny Deila to Standard de Liège.

"His experience, his passion for football and his enthusiasm for our club and our project will be real assets to help us achieve our goals. We look forward to starting this collaboration, which we hope will be as fruitful as possible.
Deila believes it's a fantastic opportunity after his recent success following life at Celtic : "At this point in my career, I was really won over by Standard de Liège's proposal.
"Coming back to Europe in a historic and friendly club in search of renewal was a new adventure that I wanted to achieve.
"The plan to make the supporters proud again and to gradually remake Standard de Liège into one of the biggest clubs in Belgium, which will once again play regularly in European competitions, immediately filled me with enthusiasm and coming here has become for me An evidence.
