Tony Mowbray has been appointed Sunderland manager as the former Celtic boss takes the reigns after Alex Neil's tenure.
The former Hamilton gaffer took charge in February and guided them back to the English Championship, but provided shockwaves around the league by joining rivals Stoke City this week. Mowbray now comes in to replace him at the Stadium of Light after leaving Blackburn Rovers at the end of last season.
He was named Celtic managed in 2009 but lasted less than a year after dismal results like losing 4-0 to St Mirren in Paisley. The 58-year-old was also a player a Celtic Park between 1991-95, also managing Hibs, West Brom, Middlesbrough, Coventry City and Blackburn alongside his Hoops stint.

Mowbray said: “I grew up in the North East. I always remember my experiences at Roker Park with great fondness – the emotion, passion and size of Sunderland AFC.
"This is a huge opportunity to continue the good work that has taken place over the past two years and I hope the supporters can see that this football club is on its way back. It is a journey.
"I’ve just come from Blackburn Rovers and like here, it was a rebuilding process – but we want to win and we will be aggressive. The players must understand what they are fighting for because they are the standard-bearers for the city.
"And win, lose or draw, we must ensure those who come to watch us see a team that gives everything in every game.”
