Former Boston Celtics big man Danilo Gallinari has elected to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to new reporting from The Athletic’s Shams Charania. “Gallinari is finalizing a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks,” writes The Athletic reporter. “Gallinari’s agent, Michael Tellem, has been discussing options with several title contenders this week.”
“Gallinari seriously considered several teams – including (the Los Angeles ) Clippers, (Cleveland) Cavaliers and (Chicago) Bulls – before choosing the Bucks, where he’ll have opportunity for a strong role under his old coach Doc Rivers,” adds Charania on Gallinari’s hunt for the right partner for the rest of this season.
The Italian has played for both the Washington Wizards (to which he was dealt by Boston in the trade that brought Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics) and Detroit Pistons this season.
