Former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has sent Fenerbahce fans a message after he was excluded from their squad.
The former Germany international enjoyed a productive few seasons in north London before he fell down the pecking order during Mikel Arteta 's time as head coach, eventually leaving in January 2020. The Turkish giants then announced on Thursday afternoon that Ozil and former Watford loanee Ozan Tufan have been excluded from the squad.
football.london understands that this is because of a verbal altercation with the club's interim manager Ismail Kartal, with the aforementioned statement translating to: "Our Football A Team players Mesut Özil and Ozan Tufan were excluded from the squad as per the decision taken. It is announced to the public."
