Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere makes painful Antonio Conte and Tottenham top four admission

Jack Wilshere has admitted that Tottenham are 'looking good' for a top four finish this season, largely thanks to the fact they've got an elite manager in Antonio Conte.

The 30-year-old free agent has been training with Mikel Arteta's Arsenal in a bid to maximise his fitness as he continues the search for a new club.

However, whilst he would love to see his former club beat Spurs to a top four position this season, Wilshere has admitted that the Gunners' north London rivals are well on their way to qualifying for the Champions League, especially with Antonio Conte at the helm.

Wilshere told talkSPORT, via the Express : "Even though they were having a little bit of a blip, they've got a great manager and results like [against Leicester] and the way it happened, that can change a season.

"It can give you belief, obviously the confidence is going to be high. Yeah, it hurts me to stay but they are looking good for top four. It's going to be tight still, but they've got a chance."

Steven Bergwijn's late double earned Tottenham a 3-2 win over Leicester on Wednesday night.

An equaliser in the 95th minute and a winner in the 96th secured a vital three points in the top four race as Spurs moved one point behind West Ham with three games in hand.

Understandably, Conte was extremely pleased about the victory, as he told BBC Match of the Day: "I think we showed today that we don't want to give up. Never.

"The players know very well what our philosophy must be. We must fight to the end and try to also get a result.

"Today to lose this game was not right. We created many, many chances. We were unlucky when we conceded. At the end, we were very good and we believed to the end. We wanted three points and we deserved them."

Tottenham will be looking to build on that win on Sunday, but Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea will be aiming to halt their Premier League momentum.
