Former President Trump's old 2024 rivals have recently transitioned into new roles following their unsuccessful presidential campaigns.
Nikki Haley, the last Republican presidential candidate to exit the race, announced her new position on Monday as the Walter P. Stern chair at the Hudson Institute.
The Hudson Institute, a prominent conservative think tank, is renowned for its focus on international affairs and national security.
In a statement, Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, emphasized the importance of calling out enemies and supporting alliances for global safety.
She expressed her eagerness to collaborate with Hudson Institute to defend the principles that she believes make America exceptional.
Haley suspended her presidential campaign after winning primary contests in Vermont and the District of Columbia on Super Tuesday.
Shortly after Haley's announcement, former Vice President Mike Pence disclosed that he would be joining Grove City College in Pennsylvania as the Distinguished Visiting Fellow for Faith & Public Life.
Grove City College introduced its Center for Faith & Public Life to explore and promote the role of Christian faith in public institutions.
Pence highlighted the compatibility of faith and public engagement, citing historical examples of Christians contributing to positive change.
Unlike some of their GOP counterparts, Haley and Pence refrained from endorsing Trump when they suspended their campaigns.
Meanwhile, Vivek Ramaswamy, a former biotech executive, endorsed Trump after exiting the race, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina also threw their support behind Trump after ending their campaigns.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a critic of Trump, withdrew from the presidential race and later opted out of a potential third-party run.
As the political landscape continues to evolve, Trump has yet to announce his running mate for the 2024 election.
