Forget dual mode, AOC's latest curved gaming monitor can switch between three resolution and refresh rate combos

AOC GAMING CQ32G4ZA monitor with divided image featuring solder and "HD 500Hz" on left, race car and "FHD 360Hz" in middle, and a wizard with "QHD 260Hz" on right.

AOC apparently thinks dual-mode monitors are so 2025, as it just released a curved gaming monitor with three different resolution options. Effectively, you're getting a panel that can switch between 1440p 260Hz, 1080p 360Hz, and 720p 500Hz, meaning you'll have a way to enjoy high refresh rates even on lower-end GPUs.

Coming in at a respectable £239 (roughly $321), the 31.5-inch AOC GAMING CQ32G4ZA is undeniably geared towards fps players. Yes, many of the best gaming monitor options are, but this curved display makes a case for making 720p, a resolution that could be described as laughable in 2026, an additional option for competitive players who rely on lower resolutions to hit lofty frame rates.
