Ford has reopened the order books on its most extreme road car. Applications for the Mustang GTD in Europe went live on September 14, 2026 and the window closes October 16, giving buyers just over a month to apply.
This is not a rerun of an old offer. Ford is capping European production at 500 units, pricing the car well north of €300,000 before options and offering a Spirit of America livery that was not on the table last time around.
European Application Window And What Changes
Ford has not published a country by country breakdown, but the reopened window suggests earlier allocations did not fill or Ford wants a fresh batch of applicants before locking in production.
Reported estimates put the GTD at €359,900 in both Germany and Romania, €366,000 in Belgium and £315,000 in Britain, a currency adjusted premium over the US sticker that reflects taxes and homologation costs layered on top of the car itself.

Austria and Norway show how much local taxation can move the number, about €525,500 and €480,000 respectively, nearly $573,000 and $523,000, or roughly $245,000 above the US starting point of $327,960 (including fees). That is the price of admission to a limited Mustang GTD production run in a market with steep luxury car duties.
Road approval remains the sticking point. Ford's own German site still lists European road registration as pending, meaning some buyers could end up with a car legal for track days but not for the street.
None of that seems to be hurting demand for the Spirit of America edition, which pairs a Performance White body with Race Red and Lightning Blue stripes across the hood and rockers. Ford calls it a reinterpretation of the Mustang's tri bar motif "for the contemporary age" and buyers can lock in one-of-one status through an Extended Color Palette option, a detail we covered when the Spirit of America GTD debuted.

815 Horsepower And A Nürburgring Resume
Strip away the paint schemes and the GTD's case rests on numbers most Mustangs never touch. Ford quotes 815 hp from the supercharged V8, output that puts this car in a different league from anything else wearing a pony badge, road legal or not.
Ford positions the GTD as a halo model sitting above the entire Ford Racing range, drawing comparisons to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. That sets a new upper limit for Mustang pricing and performance.
The GTD's engineering credentials were built at the Nürburgring, where Ford spent development time chasing lap times that would justify the price tag against European rivals.
