'Probably up there with the maddest LeJog missions, but through blood, sweat, tears and the occasional Greggs' pasty we got through it!' – Cyclists riding Land’s End to John o’ Groats while towing wheelie bins finish their mission

Jamie Hargreaves and Alfie Cookson at the beginning of their ride.

Jamie Hargreaves and Alfie Cookson have completed what is surely the most trashy LeJog adventure ever attempted: cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats on a tandem bike, while towing a pair of rubbish bins behind them, collecting litter along the way. The two likely lads even dragged their beloved bins up to the top of the highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland enroute.

"It was probably up there with the maddest LeJog missions, but though blood, sweat, tears and the occasional Greggs' pasty we got through it!" they proclaimed on social media yesterday, after finishing what they proudly claim as their "Dumbest idea yet".
