Footballer Mason Greenwood remanded in custody after court hearing on attempted rape charge

Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood has been remanded in custody after appearing in court for the first time to face charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault.

The 21-year-old footballer was charged by Greater Manchester Police on Saturday and held in custody over the weekend.
