Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has said that Leeds United 'can use the fame' of the San Francisco 49ers to propel themselves to have a commercial success in the United States.
The 49ers, who themselves are owned by the American DeBartolo-York business family, first bought into the Whites in 2018 with a 15% share but that increased to a 44% share in the club last year.
There have been talks about Leeds potentially going on a pre-season tour of the U.S next year after their trip to Australia disappointed staff due to the standard of the facilities.
