Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has claimed that Leeds United could be facing a "£100million drop" should they be relegated from the Premier League this season.
Sam Allardyce has been brought in to help keep the Whites in the top flight for the 2023/24 season after Javi Gracia was sacked following a 12-game spell in charge. The Spaniard oversaw three victories in his time in charge and Leeds now face a nail-biting end to their season.
Allardyce has targeted six points from their remaining games against Manchester City, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur to help them stay up. However, should they fail to remain in the Premier League, Maguire has detailed just how devastating an impact that will have on the club's finances.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: "When you take a look at Leicester or Everton or any of the clubs involved, they would have made somewhere in the region of £110-130million last season from TV money. If they drop into the Championship that will decrease to just over £40million so that’s an £80million or £90million hit.
"The sponsors will have clauses in the contracts that say ‘we want our brand to be shown when playing Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United... Instead, with no disrespect to these clubs, we’re playing Rotherham, Millwall, Coventry – therefore there will be reductions in that.
"They won’t be able to charge as much for hospitality either, so we’re talking up to a potential £100million drop for a company which is earning somewhere in the region of £150-180million this year."
