Supporters of an Irish football team have been slammed for a ‘sick‘ chant mocking the death of Queen Elizabeth II during a match on Thursday.
Fans of Shamrock Rovers joined in a chorus of ‘Lizzy‘s in a box‘ just hours after the death of the UK's longest-reigning Monarch was confirmed. During Rovers’ game against Swedish side Djurgardens in the Europa Conference League, fans could be heard belting out the chant to the tune of KC and the Sunshine Band’s hit, Give It Up.
