Footage shows moment man 'glassed' in face during late night brawl in Scots town

Shocking footage has shown the moment a man is 'glassed' in the face during a rammy in Falkirk.

The fight, which was caught on camera, broke out on Vicar Street in the town centre, shortly after 11.30pm on Saturday night.

It shows two men charging towards two others, with one shouting "come oan then", before throwing what is believed to have been a glass at the man's face.

He was then punched and kicked at the underpass, before covering his face and dropping to the ground.

Two young women walking past as the carnage unfolded stopped to assist the man.

It's not known how badly he was injured, but pictures obtained by Falkirk Live show a pool blood at the scene yesterday.

An eyewitness said: "Two guys came charging out of a nearby pub and were shouting abuse at the other two men.

"Not sure what happened prior to that right enough, but throwing a glass in someone's face is absolutely outrageous. And very, very low.

"The guy ended up just sitting on the ground with his face covered.

"You can leave someone permanently disfigured doing that.

"I walked over to see if the young guy was alright and offered to phone the police and an ambulance, but he said he didn't want them involved.

"His face was in some mess, all burst open and blood pouring.

"The other boys ran towards Graham's Road, but I didn't see where they went after that.

"I'm actually really surprised the police didn't turn up cause Vicar Street is covered in CCTV."

Police Scotland say they have not received any reports of an assault taking place, and are not aware of the video on social media.
