Passengers on a Delta flight bound for New York City were 'in tears' after the plane appeared to catch fire and was forced into an emergency landing at Glasgow Prestwick Airport.
Fire crews rushed to the DAL209 aircraft, which had taken off from Edinburgh, on Friday morning after it came to stop on the runway.
Video footage taken by a passenger on board appears to show flames billowing from the wing of the plane. The passenger said she had seen an unknown substance 'leaking' from the aircraft, reports the Daily Record.
