Police have released bodycam footage of singer Justin Timberlake’s arrest for drink driving.
Timberlake was pulled over by Sag Harbour police in June 2024 for veering across the road and running stop signs in the Hamptons, New York.
“I’m on a world tour,” Timberlake replied when asked by officers what he was doing. Footage then shows him struggling to stay upright while being put through field sobriety tests.
The star’s lawyers had previously sued to prevent release of the video, claiming it would cause ‘severe and irreparable harm’ to his reputation, but later conceded it did not constitute invasion of privacy under New York’s public information law.
Timberlake pleaded guilty to impaired driving in September 2024 and was sentenced to a $500 fine, 25 hours of community service and a 90-day suspension of his license.
A misdemeanour charge was brought down to a noncriminal traffic violation after the singer agreed to record an anti-drunk driving PSA.
