A food truck owner in California found himself in a dangerous situation when he witnessed a thief assaulting and robbing an elderly woman. Bryan Tecun, the owner of Bryan’s Birrieria food truck in Long Beach, California, was driving home when he saw the incident unfold. Acting quickly, Tecun jumped out of his car to help the woman in distress.
Authorities reported that Tecun chased the suspect to a nearby park and managed to tackle him down. However, in the process, Tecun was stabbed twice - once in his rib cage and once between his neck and shoulder. Despite initially downplaying his injuries, Tecun began feeling unwell and dizzy, prompting him to seek medical attention.
Upon arriving at the hospital, it was discovered that Tecun had suffered a collapsed lung and internal bleeding as a result of the altercation. Despite the severity of his injuries, doctors are optimistic about his recovery and expect him to make a full recovery.
Reflecting on the incident, Tecun expressed his motivation for intervening, stating, 'I wouldn't ever like for something like that to happen to one of my relatives or to my mom. I would hope somebody would step in.' His bravery and selfless actions in coming to the aid of the elderly woman serve as a reminder of the importance of looking out for one another in times of need.
