A popular food market has continued to catch the eyes of passers-by with a sarcastic sign stuck to the entrance doors. The Foodhall in Sale, Trafford, which is full of various eateries, has kept the wording on its doors since its opening last year, with locals still hailing bosses for the hilarious message about the town's rising cafe culture.
The sign appears to apologise to the people living in the area following the opening of the hospitality business. It pokes fun at the various comments made about its opening in the suburb, which Confidentials dubbed as one of Greater Manchester's next 'foodie hotspots' back in January.
It reads: "Hello, yes we've opened another food and drink venue in Sale but don't worry, we've taken your feedback on board... kind of."

It goes on to quote two comments, presumably made by people living in the south Manchester town on social media, which read: "The last thing we need is more artisan pizzas with artichokes and caramel lattes" and "Sale town centre has gone down hill... not one decent clothes shop now. Full of coffee shops and sh**."
Last November, the Manchester Evening News reported that the Sale Foodhall, on Stanley Square in Sale, opened its doors, featuring a range of independent vendors and businesses all joining forces to create the ultimate vibe for both day and night hangs. Launched by the Store Group, the 50-cover venue has since become the ‘tonic’ to Sale’s high street.
The hilarious image was posted in a local Facebook group, Sale M33, on Monday (August 1) and received a number of comments. One person said: "Really like the food Hall. The pop ups are great, especially the Malaysian one" and another wrote: "It’s really made me want a caramel latte now as well!"
"Sale has really gone down hill. Food and charity shops ffs" another posted as one person typed: "Love this! Haha."
Another said: "They're right though. Some nice shops are needed" and "Can’t ever remember any decent clothes shops for lads in sale, I lived in the town centre nearly all my life."
The venue features a general store selling everything from sandwiches and cheeses to Truffle-infused crisps and bottles of wine, beer and spirits - including Manchester locals, such as Didsbury Gin and Manchester Union. Speaking previously, Mital Morar, Founder of Store Retail Group, said: “Reflecting on our journey here in Sale, it feels humbling and exciting to be evolving into this really large unit from our original Groceries and Beer.
"The Sale community is wonderful. We’ve been made so welcome here over the past couple of years and have become very embedded in the neighbourhood."
