HYDERABAD: BJP National OBC Morcha president K Laxman asked chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to follow the governance model of Uttar Pradesh instead of claiming to implement Telangana model in the country by entering national politics.
Laxman, who is currently campaigning in the UP elections with other OBC morcha leaders, told TOI over the phone that “people are very happy with good governance and welfare schemes implemented by the BJP government in UP.”
He expressed confidence that the BJP will win the UP elections and said KCR’s efforts to form a federal front will be futile.
He said ₹36,000 crore was disbursed towards loan waiver of 86 lakh farmers in the state whereas Telangana had released only a few instalments. “KCR should etter talk about his promise first instead of transforming the country,” Laxman said. The former BJP state chief said ration distribution in UP is satisfactory as each poor family receives ₹1,500 pension. Roads are being built in entire state and KCR should take a cue from his counterpart Yogi Adityanath, he said.
