Arsenal star Folarin Balogun is set to miss out on a move to RB Leipzig after the Bundesliga outfit agreed terms with RC Lens striker Lois Openda.
Balogun has attracted plenty of interest from around Europe after netting 21 Ligue 1 goals across the 2022/23 season with Stade Reims. The likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Marseille and Monaco are all said to be monitoring his situation.
It's expected that the 21-year-old will push for a permanent move out of north London this summer. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are both ahead of Balogun in Mikel Arteta's pecking order, meaning this summer is an ideal time for both parties to part ways.

It's understood that the Gunners will demand around £35million for the striker this summer. His performances in France have meant Arsenal are in a strong position to cash in on one of their very own.
Leipzig are due to lose Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea this summer, leaving Marco Rose's side in serious need of a new attacker. Balogun was mooted as a potential candidate, but it seems the New York-born forward won't be moving to Leipzig.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the German side have agreed personal terms with Openda. The forward, like Balogun, has enjoyed a terrific season in Ligue 1, scoring 21 goals to help Lens qualify for the Champions League.
No deal is yet to be agreed between the two clubs, only personal terms. However, it does leave Balogun's future looking increasingly likely to be in Italy amid interest from Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli.
