The foal of the legendary mare Annie Power has won on his first ever competitive start at Ballinrobe this evening.
Mystical Power romped home ahead of Perfect Nelson and Faux Fur to win the 7:30 Orbital Flat Race in what was an impressive debut showing from the Willie Mullins trained horse.
The victory is perhaps no surprise given the rich racing heritage he is a product of. His Mother, Annie Power, was a hurdle specialist who won 16 of the seventeen races she took part in, including the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2016.

Mystical Power's father is Galileo who won the Epsom and Irish Derby's in 2001. After retirement he became one of the most sought-after Sire's in the world . He would go on to become the most successful source of Group 1 winners with 85.
Patrick Mullins was onboard for this evening's victory and spoke to the Racing Post earlier this week, "Physically he [Mystical Power] doesn't resemble her much but she was a unique mare.
"He has been improving all winter and he is ready to go now, I think he should be capable of winning races."
"It's fantastic to have the progeny of Quevega and now Annie Power in the yard.
"It's very exciting to have him here and to have a Galileo in the yard too, there are a few more coming down the pipeline as well and that's exciting. Hopefully he can get her broodmare career going."
Some excellent foresight there from Mr. Mullins.
