Floyd Mayweather wants to make his UK debut in London next February as part of his five-fight exhibition plan in 2023.
The boxing legend has continued fighting since hanging up his gloves with a professional record of 50-0 after beating UFC star Conor McGregor in a crossover bout in 2017. Mayweather has fought four times in exhibition contests, which include knocking out Japanese stars Tenshin Nasukawa and Mikuru Asakura, alongside fights against YouTube star Logan Paul and former sparring partner Don Moore.
Mayweather will next appear in an eight-round clash against YouTube star Deji - real name Oladeji Olatunji - at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai next Sunday. On Friday, the boxing legend attended a press conference to promote the event in London, where he revealed that he intends to return in the boxing ring after failing to fight as a professional in the United Kingdom.
He said: "What's so great about this fight is, we're able to come together. And actually, Keane from FrontRow as well as Global Titans, he spoke to me and what is it February? February we're looking forward to coming here and putting on an exhibition for the fans in the UK.
"Because I never got to come over here and actually fight here when I was actively fighting. Hopefully, in February we can come over here and do an exhibition if it's possible."
Mayweather never fought in the UK during his 50-fight professional career, which saw him fight regularly at huge venues such as the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The undefeated former champion did fight against British opposition when he stopped Ricky Hatton at that exact venue in 2007. The American star has continued to earn lucrative purses for his boxing outings, and has even suggested that he earns up to $300million (£264m) a month from all of his investments.

It is likely that Mayweather will look to take on some of combat sport's biggest names next year, including potential rematches with McGregor and Manny Pacquiao. The 45-year-old is keen to expand the portfolio of venues he has fought in with a fight in the United Arab Emirates and Hawaii.
"Well, my focus right now is November 13 at Dubai in the Coca Cola Arena against another guy who is huge on YouTube," he said. "Then in 2023, we are doing Japan again, then Hawaii, Saudi Arabia, Africa and Abu Dhabi. We get calls every day and it all depends on what I want to do. But I have a great team and everyone played a major role in this event happening. They are getting me up every day and making sure is in certain positions so I am able to live comfortably."
