Floyd Mayweather has been labelled "jealous" after the ring legend organised his latest exhibition bout for the same date as his former protege takes to the ring.
Former five-weight world champion Mayweather will take on Don Moore on May 14 on a helipad at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai. The 45-year-old was set to fight YouTube star Money Kicks in February but talks for that fight broke down.
News of the fight broke on the same day as Gervonta Davis ' press conference for his title fight with Rolly Romero, something that Davis - who is managed by Mayweather Promotions - wasn't happy with.
"Lol n**** had a press conference today and fight on same day," Davis wrote in a now-deleted tweet. "No matter how much money you have you can still be jealous of a mf! Boy".

Undefeated knockout artist Davis, who currently holds the WBA lightweight title, has been signed to Mayweather Promotions since 2015. 'Tank' is one of the biggest stars of the organisation and has been mentored by Mayweather for most of his professional career but his contract with the legend expires after his next bout which is actually on May 28.
Moore, a former sparring partner of Mayweather's, is unbeaten as a professional with 18 wins under his belt. 'Dangerous' hasn't fought since 2016, a year before Mayweather's last professional fight against UFC star Conor McGregor.
“I am excited to participate in this event because of how much of the same training I received from Roger Mayweather," Moore said. "I am gonna be able to give Floyd real problems. I have been training hard to show everyone what ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore is all about and expose Floyd’s weaknesses. This is my shot, The time is now, Floyd isn’t invincible. Anyone can be beaten.”
A press conference for the fight will take place this Saturday in Miami. Tickets for the fight will be sold in the form of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and it will take place exclusively on pay-per-view.
“I am always trying to push the envelope and if something is brought to my attention that has a unique aspect to it, I am always interested,” Mayweather said. “Having a fight on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai and the opportunity to be the star of the show is going to be something I will remember always. People all over the world can buy the PPV and watch us fight high above, almost in the sky.”
Also featuring on the May 14 card is UFC legend Anderson Silva as he faces fellow MMA fighter Bruno Machado. Former two-weight boxing champion Badou Jack will also compete at the event.
