A Florida mother, 33-year-old Kelsie Glover, was arrested under suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery after a tragic incident in Poinciana. Deputies responded to witnesses' reports of Glover chasing them with a hammer inside her home. Witnesses recounted seeing Glover holding her 14-year-old daughter's head underwater in a bathtub until she became unresponsive.
Efforts to save the teen, identified as Giselle Glover, were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at a hospital. Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez expressed shock at the incident, stating that additional charges are pending based on the medical examiner's findings regarding the cause of Giselle's death.
Authorities revealed that there were four individuals in the home during the tragic event: Glover, her daughter, another child, and a roommate. Giselle's father was not present at the time of the incident but has been informed of his daughter's passing.
While investigations are ongoing, Lopez mentioned that Glover has been somewhat uncooperative. He noted that there was no prior history of domestic violence involving the mother and daughter, although Glover had previously faced accusations of battering her husband, Giselle's father.
Authorities confirmed that there was no known history of mental illness concerning Glover. Sheriff Lopez emphasized the commitment to seeking justice for Giselle, describing the situation as unimaginable and tragic.
