Authorities are investigating after a Florida man said he accidentally shot his 4-year-old daughter and wife at their Deltona home over the weekend.

The man told police that he was trying to clear his handgun before going to a shooting range when it accidentally discharged just before 10 a.m. on Saturday, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
