Florida bakery accused Uber driver of stealing 400 cinnamon rolls. Then police revealed what actually happened: ‘We are sincerely sorry’

A South Florida bakery said nearly 400 cinnamon rolls disappeared during an Uber delivery and never reached their destination. Roll and Dough stated on Instagram that no one, including Uber, could say what had happened to the order. The business said it could not contact the carrier.

Julie Pierre, the 21-year-old founder of Roll and Dough, said she was running the small business on her own. In the Instagram statement, she said she felt scared and overwhelmed while trying to recover days of work and thousands of dollars in products. The cinnamon rolls had been headed to a farmers’ market, she indicated.
