Actress Florence Pugh has revealed that her infamous relationship with Scrubs actor Zach Braff came to an end earlier this year.
The Midsommar star, 26, spoke to Harpers Bazaar in an interview released on Tuesday, when appearing on their August issue cover.
The Little Women star revealed to the magazine that the former couple have “been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on”.
Braff, 47, began dating Pugh in 2019 which ignited internet chatter and critique over their 21-year age gap.
The Black Widow actress said: “We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that.
“I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.”
The actors also worked together, with Braff writing the script for the film A Good Person, due for release next year, with Pugh in mind.
The Oxford-born actress added that “the movie (that we made together) genuinely was probably one of my most favourite experiences. It felt like a very natural and easy thing to do”.
Now the actress is rising in her ranks and filming upcoming the upcoming sequel, Dune: Part Two.
To add to her roster, filming for the anticipated film Don’t Worry Darling wrapped up with the buzz of her co-star Harry Styles and actress and director Olivia Wilde beginning to date.
Pugh will also star besides Gemma Chan and Chris Pine.
Don’t Worry Darling is out in cinemas on September 23.
