Flooded Kyalite farmer uses boat to travel between paddocks just days out from harvest

Rising floodwaters in the Murray River are creating major headaches for farming communities on the Victoria-New South Wales border just days out from the summer barley harvest period.

Major flooding is occurring in the Victorian town of Kenley, between Mildura and Swan Hill, where the Warkool meets the Murray, and an evacuation order for the rural district remains in place.

Emergency services have spent weeks preparing communities around north-west Victoria and the NSW Riverina, including at Kyalite.
