A flood alert has been issued this morning for parts of Ayrshire and Arran from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
Heavy rain is forecast to affect this area later tonight and overnight into Friday.
This could lead to some flooding from surface water and small watercourses, especially where the ground is already saturated.
A SEPA spokesperson said: “Potential impacts include flooding of land and roads, and localised disruption to travel.
“The greatest risk will be in the north of the area.
“Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.”
Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188.
