A floating restaurant has sunk after icy conditions caused it to become flooded in a city river.

The ship restaurant named The Silver Whale, in St Petersburg, Russia, was pictured sunken on its side in the Neva River yesterday (Monday, March 27).

The ship became flooded at around 7.30am due to icy conditions, according to Russian officials.
