A PLANE at Glasgow Airport was forced to return to its gate earlier where it was met by a police crew on the tarmac.
The Glasgow Times reported that an EasyJet service from Glasgow to London Gatwick was approaching the runway when it suddenly turned back around and the pilot announced there has been a problem.
Upon arriving at the gate, a man was removed from the plane and taken away by police.
A passenger told the Glasgow Times: "Everyone thought we were taking off and the pilot announced there had been a problem then the plane was driven back to the gate.
"There was a police van on the tarmac with half a dozen officers waiting for him when we got there. They wheeled out the boarding steps and got him off.
"People at the front of the plane were clapping as he was being placed into the van."
The flight eventually departed at 3.29pm, 49 minutes after it was originally scheduled to.
Police Scotland, EasyJet and Glasgow Airport have been contacted for comment.
