Flight disruption that caused chaos for hundreds of thousands of passengers has eased, as airports said their operations have returned to normal.

A technical issue at National Air Traffic Services (Nats) caused more than 2,000 flights arriving or departing the UK to be cancelled following the fault on Tuesday.
