Marks and Spencer is selling a ‘pretty’ black dress shoppers have described as ‘flattering’.
While the weather might have temporarily turned wintry again, that hasn’t stopped people planning their spring and summer wardrobes and many have their eye on the dress after the retailer shared a video on its social media. Posting the clip by digital creator ‘emswells’, M&S told its two million Instagram followers: “Save this for your spring style inspo”.
The video featured a number of M&S items, including a trench coat and pinstriped trousers, but it was the black dress many people had their eye on. The Pure Cotton V-Neck Midaxi Waisted Dress comes in black and is made ina ‘comfy regular fit’, with shirring at the waistline and tie fastenings at the three quarter sleeves.

Shoppers were quick to share their thoughts in the comments secion. Ksammonsstyle called it “Incredibly chic” while patricia.williams00 said: “Love the dress”.
The_one_with_attitude added: “This black dress is gorgeous” and shelley.abbott.370 agreed: “Love the black dress!”.
One person who left a four star review on the M&S website described the dress as ‘Pretty’ and said it has a nice shape, but had some reservations. The reviewer wrote: “It's flattering but the material feels cheap and shiny. Not sure it's worth the money in material aspect only. However, it is not see-through it's flattering and has a nice shape. I don't like showing my arms so this will do the trick with the pretty arms. On trend too guessing that's why it's a bit pricey but I like it”.
River Island is selling a similar look, with its Black Textured Wrap Maxi Dress priced at £35 and Asos has a gathered waist midi dress with a batwing style, priced at £63 down from £90. You can buy the M&S dress here.
