A two-bed flat has gone on sale for £10,000 - but is filled with rubbish, including a sink full of washing-up.
The first floor flat at 41 Cochran Street, Paisley, Renfrewshire, is currently listed as the second cheapest property for sale in the town. It is being touted as a 'doer upper' but is packed with old coats, an ironing board, old cans of energy drinks and manky old cups left by the sink.
A half-used bottle of washing-up liquid can still be seen by the sink and plates have been dumped in the kitchen sink. The two bedrooms are described as 'generously sized' and the living room, which includes a couple of electric heaters, is said to be large.
The galley kitchen needs a total clean up, and a storage cupboard is packed with old coats. It also has a large back garden.
The property is one being offered up by Auction House Scotland at a meeting next month in Glasgow.
It describes the flat as being "perfect for a buy to let investor, developer, or first-time buyer" - albeit one that needs "modernisation".
AHS touts that similar flats on Cochran Street have recently sold for between £79,000 and £93,000 - making this look like a particularly lucrative opportunity.
The auctioneer has prior for offering up similarly optimistic properties, including a £40k house in Glenrothes that was strewn top-to-bottom with rubbish. That particular house eventually went for £24,000 more than its asking price.
Mandi Cooper, managing director of Auction House Scotland said: "Close to various amenities, transport links and Paisley town centre, this flat would be perfect for a developer or first-time buyer looking to get stuck into a renovation project and offers a fantastic opportunity to add value."
"Equally, buy to let investors could be attracted by the strong potential rental yield of the property upon completion of its refurbishment."
The property will be going under the hammer at Auction House Scotland's in-room auction taking place at 2pm on November 3 at the Radisson RED hotel, 25 Tunnel Street, Glasgow.
