It feels a long time since this has been said, but Notts County are top of the National League table.
In what was a thrilling top of the table clash at Meadow Lane, the Magpies edged away 1-0 victors with Macaulay Langstaff's 13th minute strike enough to ensure Luke Williams' side reached the summit of the table, while remaining unbeaten at home this season.
But it wasn't all their own way with Wrexham putting in a much-improved second half performance, producing a number of chances to grab an equaliser, but they were met by a wall of black and white with Sam Slocombe in inspired form to preserve a fifth clean sheet of the season.

The atmosphere inside the stadium was simply electric. Even with the ground not a quarter full, the noise that greeted both sets of players as they started their warm-ups was simply outstanding, and once they returned from the tunnel for the start of the match, the noise was deafening and a great advert for National League football.
With that win Notts leapfrogged their opponents and opened up a three-point gap to Chesterfield, who were beaten 3-2 at home by Dagenham and Redbridge, but will be focused on another tough away trip to Woking this weekend.
Upon reflection, here are the five things we learned following the victory at Meadow Lane.
Sam Slocombe's pivotal saves
Slocombe remained focused despite having little to do in the first half and was determined to preserve the Magpies' fifth clean sheet of the season, producing two crucial saves in quick succession at the start of the second half.
After Adam Chicksen under hit a back pass, Slocombe was quick off his line to produce a vital interception at the feet of Paul Mullin to win the ball and clear it to safety, before standing tall as the Wrexham number ten honed in on goal minutes later, diving at the feet of the striker as he looked to take it round him.
But not only was it those two moments in particular, it was his all-round performance that provided Notts with that calming feeling that he was not going to be beaten that evening.
He continually relieved the pressure as the visitors carved out a number of chances in the second half, commanding his penalty area and taking the momentum away from Wrexham.
Macaulay Langstaff at it again
15 goals in 12 National League games - we cannot ignore what Macaulay Langstaff is doing this season.
He has a knack of being in the right place at the right time, all he needs is just one chance and he will take it, and his goal last night was the only clear-cut chance he had all evening.
The movement for the opener is something we have seen a number of times this season already. Rather than being attracted toward he ball, Langstaff tends to peel away from the play allowing himself time to assess the situation around him before providing that deadly touch.
But huge credit goes to the coaching staff for the free-kick, with Notts continually coming up with new ways to create chances for their deadly marksman. The creativity from Chicksen's pass, Rodrigues' nutmeg and Palmer's cut-back were all simply brilliant and prove why the Magpies have a real chance of gaining promotion this season.
With Langstaff returning to the summit of being English football's top scorer this season, it's now over to you Erling Haaland.
Weathering the storm
The blustery conditions in Nottingham were not the only thing the Magpies had to endure with Wrexham coming out a different team in the second half and creating a number of chances that could have changed the result.
A number of opportunities fell to the visitors, but the resilience and determination of the Notts defence proved too much for Wrexham, with a number of standout performances put in in the Magpies' backline.
Kyle Cameron produced a number of vital interceptions, most notably in the first half to deny Mullin as the striker beat the offside trap but was met with the Notts number six's expertl- timed challenged, beating his chest in front of the Kop as though he'd just scored an injury time winner.
It was arguably the Magpies' best defensive performance of the season, throwing bodies on the line and working extremely hard to ensure the three points remained in Nottingham.
Richard Brindley and Connell Rawlinson were also magnificent, dealing admirably with long balls up to Ollie Palmer and Mullin throughout, while Aaron Nemane continued his fine start to the season with a brilliant overall performance without neglecting his defensive responsibilities.
Jim O'Brien injury worry
After missing the game against Altrincham at the weekend, O'Brien was reinstated into the starting XI alongside Matty Palmer to provide the Magpies with that experience needed in a game of this stature.
The midfielder started extremely well, linking play with the forward players while also cutting off the passing lane from the Wrexham midfield and matching the pace in which Notts started with at the start of the first half.
But after just 35 minutes, the Scotsman turned awkwardly whilst in possession and instantly signalled to the bench that he needed to come off, which was a huge blow for Williams' side.
Speaking after the game on a possible diagnosis for O'Brien, Williams said: "I thought Jim was doing so well and he was playing so well.
"He helped us in those early stages and he as a key part of that control and he enabled Ruben and Aaron so well like he always does when he plays on that side of the pitch because it flows that little bit better.
"Unfortunately, he felt something pull so we have to now assess him and see how long he will be out. At the moment I think it is his thigh, but we will have to wait to see what it is when it settles down."
We are top of the league!
For the first time since the opening day of last season, Notts fans can sing 'we are top of the league'.
The Magpies' 5-0 win over Barnet at the start of the last National League campaign was the last time they were at the summit of the table, with Ruben Rodrigues, Kyle Wootton, Cal Roberts and Jim O'Brien all on target for Ian Burchnall's side.
But now the objective is to stay there. While Williams said post-match that his side would not get carried away following the victory, he explained his side were worthy to be in that position following their start to the season.
The Magpies will be looking to maintain top spot as they face another tough test away to Woking this weekend, with Darren Sarll's coming into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw against Southend.
Great credit also goes to the Notts fans inside Meadow Lane, with 10,741 in attendance on a Tuesday night in the National League, which is a great advert for the league and something fans from both sides should be extremely proud of.
