We knew it would be coming soon, and now we have official word from 5-star 2023 wide receiver Carnell Tate on when he’ll be announcing his college decision.
For all intents and purposes, the race appears to be down to Ohio State and Tennessee, even though Tate has a final four of the Buckeyes, Vols, LSU, and Notre Dame. Recent musings and insider information seem to indicate that the race is down to Knoxville and Columbus, perhaps with OSU pulling ahead lately.
Tate has already mentioned that he’s made his decision, just waiting on the editing to be completed on his commitment video. That now appears to be nearly complete because the Chicago native set a date of Monday, June 20 at 1 pm ET as when he’ll let the world know where he’ll be honing his craft.

Nearly every school in the country has offered Tate. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he is the No. 3 receiver and 28th overall prospect.
Ohio State has put the full-court press on Tate’s recruitment, and it looks like we’ll know if those efforts ultimately paid off or not in just a couple of days.
