They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day - but deciding where to eat can be the most difficult part.
And with that in mind we had a scout around Co Armagh to find some of our favourite places for a spot of brunch.
There are loads of great places and be sure to let us know your favourite in the comments section below.
ASH CAFFÉ
If you’re looking for something fresh to kickstart your morning then we suggest opting for ‘ASH Oat Granola’. This tasty menu item is made up of an infusion of Vanilla and Greek infused yogurt, topped with Brazilian, almond and pecan nuts, mixed seasonal berry compote, fresh pomegranate seeds and finished off with a teaspoon of homemade lemon curd.
Could you be tempted by savory snacks such as the classic ASH bacon pancake stack or an ASH breakfast bap? The newly established gem in Cullovile, South Armagh, Ash has a lot to offer and is a definite must try.
Café Milo
A breakfast bagel from café Milo is to die for. Whether you like your eggs poached or scrambled they can be deliciously sandwiched into a fresh bagel and paired with crisp streaky bacon.
In a rush but looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth? We suggest you order ‘Milky Milo’ to go. This menu item includes fluffy pancakes or waffles topped with Milkbar and white chocolate sauce.
Oh, and don’t forget your coffee! This café brews their very own house blend of coffee, ‘the MILO Bean’. With notes of floral, nutty and syrup flavour. We recommend you get your hands on a cup.
MILO is located on North Street in busy Crossmaglen, South Armagh.
Hollie Berrie at the Tearooms
We all know about cheese boards, but have you ever heard of a pancake platter? Well now you have!
The sharing board comes with a wide range of toppings to choose from including maple syrup, strawberries, cream, chocolate, rhubarb, custard, brownie pieces and for the savoury lovers, even fried chicken – the list is endless.
Hollie Berries’ is also well known for its selection of traybakes, so it’s almost impossible to resist bringing home treats to graze over later in the day.
Warning: The infinite number of delicious options available at this eatery will result in you leaving the café dreaming of your next visit.
This must visit spot is in Scarva, Craigavon.
Camocha Bistro Café
This is the place to go for a classic hearty Irish breakfast fry: Two Bacon, two sausages, black and white pudding, fried egg, soda/potato bread and beans… you’re sure to leave this restaurant content.
Whether you’re looking for a quick coffee fix with a homemade scone on the go or you want to dine in for a French toast feast or a simple scrabbled egg on toast – Camocha have you covered.
Located in the busy village of Camlough, this is a popular food hotspot for people in the area. This restaurant is always bustling with happy costumers.
Mulberry Bistro, Armagh City
How do you like your eggs in the morning? We highly recommend the eggs benedict or delicious French toast from this place.
Breakfast with a view - we couldn’t ask for much more.
Situated in the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, it seems fitting that we mention this eatery which can be found a stone’s throw away from St. Patrick’s Cathedral. It is equipped with a picturesque view from the dining area - the perfect place to sip your morning brew.
