Civerino's
If the original award-winning restaurant on Hunter Square wasn't enough, Civerino's also offers two exciting locations on Forrest Road and Portobello Promenade with their Slice concept, which is inspired by those classic New York pizza joints that serve by the slice.
They've made a real name for themselves as one of the best places to go for a slice of pizza in the capital, so much so that they've even been recognised by UK wide after being named among the finalists for the National Pizza Awards 2022.
Expect big flavours – including the brilliantly named My Cousin Vinny and the Big Poppa – and even bigger pizzas, with some of the biggest (20” anyone?) on offer anywhere in the city.
La Favorita Pizzeria
An Edinburgh institution, with spots in Leith (delivered) and Portobello, La Favorita's wood-fired thin-crust pizzas have been a huge hit with Edinburgh's pizza lovers for years.
A true taste of Italy, their pizza dough is prepared fresh instore every day and left for 48 hours to naturally mature before use leading to a delicious base for every pizza that is then topped with some of the tastiest toppings around.
Picked out as the number 1 pizza spot in Edinburgh by foodie fans on TripAdvisor for its Royal Mile spot, @pizza even takes the third spot for its second location on Charlotte Lane it's that popular.
