In New York City, five of the seven migrants accused of assaulting NYPD officers back in January have reportedly been offered plea deals. The suspects were charged with second degree assault during their court appearance yesterday. The Manhattan D.A.'s office reportedly allowed three of the suspects to serve a year in jail in exchange for pleading guilty to the assault. The other two suspects were reportedly allowed to serve only six months in prison in exchange for pleading guilty to obstructing government administration. It is unclear if they accepted those deals. The suspects are due back in court on June 18th.
