A new comedy festival is heading to Manchester, featuring a host of A-list comedy stars on the bill. Laughterama will happen at Castlefield Bowl in September over five nights.
Headlining each of the nights will be the likes of Netflix and podcasting star James Acaster, veteran comic Dylan Moran, British Comedy Award winner Aisling Bea, Taskmaster star Phil Wang and Josh WIddicombe and Rosie Jones from The Last Leg.
Daniel Kitson will also be returning to Manchester for the first time since his one-man show at the Royal Exchange in 2017. Other acts over the five-night stretch will include Milton Jones, Nish Kumar, Reginald D. Hunter, Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Rose Matafeo and Manchester comedian Stephen Bailey.
Festival organiser Will Briggs, who runs the events with sister Cass Rudolph, said: “We’ve been dreaming of bringing this festival to Manchester for a long time now, the city should absolutely have a stand-out event showcasing the wealth of comedy talent around at the moment.
“There’s a golden age for comedy right now, with so many platforms to enjoy amazing content. Many of our acts have their own TV or podcast series, but nothing beats live, and we can't wait to put these acts in front of a Manchester crowd. We already know the shows are going to be electric!”
Tickets for each of the nights will cost £25, with food stalls and other entertainment happening at the bowl too. For more information, head to the Laughterama website.
