Among the brunch and breakfast dishes on offer are Turkish eggs, served with whipped yoghurt, feta and nduja sausage, and a chorizo hash, as well as the traditional full English.

The Cherry Tree, outside Bolton near Blackrod, is also high on the list, with a review count of over 5000, and another 4.5 star-rating. The countryside spot serves 28 day aged roast beef, slow-braised lamb and a corn fed chicken breast for Sunday lunch.

Also featuring on the list are The Blues Kitchen on Quay Street, which serves up a 90-minute brunch with bottomless drinks, and The Menagerie over in Salford.

Northern Quarter favourite Evelyn’s Cafe and Bar also gets a nod, its long-standing brunch menu offering buttermilk pancakes, steak and eggs and za’tar mushrooms on toast.
