Francis Manuleleua and Jermaine McEwen have been rewarded for their starring roles in Newcastle's run to the NRL grand final with the back-row duo named in Samoa's Rugby League World Cup squad.

Even without Payne Haas, as the South Sydney-bound prop undergoes hand surgery, the Samoan squad is still packed with talent.
