Five extreme weather events recorded in Ireland in 2021 due to escalating climate crisis

Five extreme weather events were recorded in Ireland last year as a result of the escalating climate crisis, according to the latest World Meteorological Organisation report.

The WMO also warned in its State of the Global Climate report that four key climate change records were broken in 2021.

They were greenhouse gas concentrations, sea-level rise, ocean warming and acidification.
