A 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody and will continue to be questioned following extra time being granted by Magistrates Court.

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Waller said: "We are following numerous lines of enquiry to establish what led to Billy’s death, and you will continue to see officers in and around the Yardley Avenue area conducting house-to-house and CCTV enquiries. At this stage we do not believe there is a wider threat to anyone else however if you have concerns please do speak to a local officer.

"I would ask anyone with any information, no matter how big or small, to get in touch as it could assist us with our investigation."

If you have information or footage that could assist with the investigation, please contact Cheshire Constabulary on 101 quoting IML 1441133 or online here.
