JOHN Swinney has cast his vote in the General Election after making his final pitch to voters during the final day of campaigning on Wednesday.
The First Minister headed to a polling station in Blairgowrie to cast his vote alongside his son Matthew.
He was also spotted with SNP candidate for Angus and Perthshire Glens Dave Doogan.
The polls are now open in all 57 constituencies across Scotland in the first General Election since 2019.
Polling places are open from 7pm to 10am, with the results expected in the early hours of Friday morning.
While Labour are expected to comfortably beat the Tories in England, the outlook is less clear in Scotland.
The SNP won 48 seats in 2019, while the Tories took six and the Liberal Democrats four while Labour was reduced to just a single MP in Scotland.
The redrawing of constituency boundaries also means that there are only 57 seats up for grabs in Scotland at this election as opposed to the 59 in 2019.
