Take a look at former Emmerdale star Patsy Kensit’s return to soapland.
As we know, the world of soaps can be a fickle place with acting stars moving between shows. Patsy, 54, played Sadie King between 2004 and 2006. In January, she will be seen in Albert Square as she makes her EastEnders debut.
Patsy, who has appeared in Hollywood films Lethal Weapon 2 and Absolute Beginners, will play Emma who is the mother of EastEnders character Lola Pearce. EastEnders producer Chris Clenshaw said: “We're delighted to welcome the wonderfully talented Patsy to the EastEnders family.

“She's the perfect fit to take on the role of such a long-awaited character that we know very little about. Softly spoken and measured, on one hand Emma is the very opposite of her long lost daughter Lola.”
As we’ve previously reported, Patsy looks back fondly on her time in Emmerdale and has never closed the door on perhaps returning to the role of Sadie King. Sadie was last seen fleeing the Dales after she and Cain Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, plotted to kidnap Tom King, played by Ken Farrington, only for the soap bad boy to deceive her - leaving her with nothing but a BMW.
Patsy said: “I’d love to (return) – I loved the character of Sadie. She was someone who said all the things that people wanted to say in their lives but don’t have the courage to.
“I did that five nights a week on that show – it was fantastic. I lived vicariously through her as she was such a cow.”
