Following on from its successful summer pop-up on George Street, Scotland’s largest platform for women, egg, is today unwrapping its own cosy Christmas shop in Waverley Market.
Housed in a 10,000sq ft space, the new festive store features an array of carefully curated independent Scottish brands such as flavoured gin and vodka distillers House of Boë, fashion houses Unfolded, Fifth Season Vintage and Tom Vintage, jewellery brand Missa & Kissa and Fruit Salad Flowers.
Set to run for six weeks, the egg & co Christmas market is open now and offers Christmas shoppers an array of items and gifts, including vintage clothing, flowers, homewares, kids’ stuff, books and jewellery.
It's also set to host various Christmas events, including a launch party on Thursday 17 November. With around 10,000 people passing through egg & co’s pop-up shop on George Street in the summer, founder Kylie Reid those numbers to rise at the Christmas store as the busy festive shopping period kicks off.

Launched by Kylie Reid in 2017, egg is a platform for a community of more than 65,000 women. The pop-up shop on George Street was egg’s first bricks-and-mortar space, which Kylie said brought the online community together in person.
She added: “This Christmas it is more important than ever that shoppers support local independent businesses when choosing gifts for loved ones. Since egg’s inception, we have always championed Scottish brands and our network of over 65,000 women across Scotland has been integral in helping many of these small businesses to grow.
“Our pop-up shop on George Street during the summer was a tremendous success – as well as showcasing lots of fabulous local brand, it was wonderful to bring our online community together in a beautiful space.
“Now we have even bigger space and lots of the residents from our George Street pop-up will be back alongside lots of exciting new businesses. We can’t wait to welcome old friends and new faces over the coming weeks.”
They've just released the first images of the new space in a sneak peek for shoppers. The egg & co Christmas Market will run from the former site of the Superdry store and will open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm.
