The first bouquet of flowers has been placed outside the home of Olivia Pratt-Korbel.
A cordon is still currently in place at Kingsheath Avenue in Dovecot after nine-year-old Olivia was shot dead in her own home. Two men are believed to have been walking down the residential road from Finch Road when a man wearing black clothes and a balaclava opened fire.
The two men began to run before Olivia's mum, Cheryl, opened the door to see what had happened. One of the men being chased then forced his way into the home before the gunman followed him and also attempted to force his way in. He then opened fire and shot Cheryl, with the same bullet also hitting Olivia in the chest.

The unknown gunman then fired two bullets at the man who had run into the house, with the gunman then sprinting away. A dark-coloured Audi then appeared at the address and picked the injured man, 35, up, leaving Cheryl and daughter Olivia behind.
Police officers arrived and rushed the child to Alder Hey where she later died, with Cheryl being taken to Aintree Hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Following the heartbreaking incident, flowers have now been placed at the scene of the shooting.
The bouquet, handed to police, was placed at the edge of the cordon as the investigation continues. The gunman, who remains at large, is described as: "A lone person, potentially a male, who was wearing a black padded jacket, a black balaclava with a peak, dark pants and black gloves. This individual was approximately 5ft 7 inch tall and of slim build, and they were carrying a handgun."
Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen added at today's press conference: "My appeal is to the person that is responsible for this horrendous attack on a nine-year-old girl to recognise the pain and anguish that this has caused her family. I want that individual to hand themselves in.
"I also want the second man that was in the street, that was with the 35-year-old man, to hand himself into us or make himself known to us."
