Fans of Erasure have been left "gutted" at the cancellation of their tour that would have seen them play the First Direct Arena in May.
The London pop-duo were due to play the Leeds venue on Thursday, May 26 but they have recently announced the cancellation of their entire tour - which includes venues up and down the country.
And they have even cancelled their American tour, due to take place later this month; as well as their South American tour, which was scheduled for the summer.

In a post on Facebook, the band said: "We are very sorry to announce that, due to unexpected family circumstances beyond anyone's control, we have had to make the extremely difficult decision to cancel the remaining stages of The Neon Tour and we will therefore no longer be playing our planned shows in the UK & Europe, South America or North America this year. Refunds are available at point of purchase.

"Vince and Andy are well and, although they are bitterly disappointed to be forced to cancel the rest of the tour, they would both like to send their sincere apologies to anyone affected by the cancellations.
"Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to being able to play to everyone again soon."
Fans have expressed their disappointment at the news, with some saying that they are "gutted" to not be able to see the duo live.
One fan said: "Just had my email! So gutted, however, I hope whatever the reason is for the cancellation, that you get through it! Much love!"

Another said: "Sorry to hear this. We were at the Manchester gig in October and were so looking forward to seeing Erasure in our hometown Leeds in May, but family and health comes before anything. Whatever it is we send our love and best wishes".
And one fan said that it was "really strange" to cancel a year's worth of tour dates in January, they said: "wow - to cancel a tour in like January for the whole year is really strange.
"They could have change dates to summer. I guess there is much more behind this news."
